Lots of folks like french fries. But let’s face it – they’re potatoes, and they don’t have much flavor on their own. This simple recipe adds a tasty seasoning that puts those supermarket “bag-o-fries” to shame.
INGREDIENTS
3 medium russet potatoes, skin on and scrubbed
3 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 tsp. Table Salt
1 TBSP. Hubba Rubba
Directions: Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Cut each potato into 12 equal size wedges. In a zip-top bag or bowl toss potatoes with oil. Spread potatoes in a single layer on a sheet pan (you may need two). Sprinkle potatoes with salt. Place trays in upper half of oven for approximately 25 minutes, or until light brown spots appear on potatoes. Using a thin spatula, turn all potatoes over and cook until both sides are golden brown (approx. 10-20 minutes). Immediately sprinkle potatoes with Hubba Rubba and toss to coat. Serve right away.
