Breakfast meals can be ho-hum. This is an edgy breakfast casserole that will wake up and fill up your family, friends, and surprise overnight house guests. Careful though – they may want to stay another night in the hopes of getting more.
1 LOAF FRENCH BREAD, TORN IN BITE-SIZE PIECES
8 EGGS, BEATEN
1/2 CUP MILK
4 LINKS CHICKEN SAUSAGE, BROWNED & CUT IN BITE SIZE PIECES
1 CUP MONTEREY JACK CHEESE, GRATED
1 TSP. FUNKY FENNEL
Directions: preheat oven to 350-degrees. Grease 9” x 13” baking pan. Place bread in pan. Beat together eggs, milk and Funky Fennel and pour over bread. Sprinkle sausage and cheese over bread. Bake for 25 minutes or until top is golden brown. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
